Susan and I wanted to get away for the weekend. We knew we wanted to be active, outside and enjoy the fresh air. Ideal Health Resource was recommended to us as a great resource for all kinds of fun, healthy activities. When we found Northern Outdoors of Maine we were psyched. To our surprise, not only did we have an amazing White Water rafting trip, but Northern Outdoors is a mini resort in the heart of Maine. We went swimming in the lake, played volleyball in their pool, enjoy the hotub, and had some great meals, at very reasonable prices at their on site brewery/restaurant.

To boot, they even have local bands so we could dance the night away (which we did on '80's night, I am embarrassed to admit). To boot, Northern Outdoors is only minutes away from several hiking trails that are part of the Appalachian trail! Our cabin was clean, had a private bath and a kitchenette. I can't wait for Winter when we will take advantage of their snowmobiling and snowshoes activities.
